About

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a large-scale payroll system initiative. This role focuses on Workday Payroll testing and validation and is fully dedicated to project-based payroll activities. The position supports payroll accuracy and system readiness without involvement in live production payroll cycles.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute payroll processes within Workday Payroll , including retroactive pay adjustments, earnings calculations, and payroll balancing
  • Perform and validate gross-to-net payroll calculations
  • Support unit, end-to-end, and parallel payroll testing cycles
  • Execute and validate absence processing workflows (PTO, ESL, related leave programs)
  • Load, review, and reconcile payroll integration files
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve payroll discrepancies and variances
  • Validate payroll outputs in high-volume testing environments
  • Collaborate with HRIS, Finance, and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues
  • Document test cases, results, defects, and resolutions
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong expertise in Workday Payroll or UKG , including:
    • Retro processing
    • Payroll calculations
    • Absence processing
    • Payroll balancing
  • Experience supporting payroll system testing (unit, end-to-end, parallel)
  • Proven ability to validate complex payroll data and calculations
  • Experience working in high-volume payroll environments
  • Ability to support payroll initiatives without impacting production payroll cycles
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with UKG Pro WFM
  • Experience supporting Workday or ERP payroll implementations
  • Familiarity with large-scale payroll testing initiatives
  • Strong documentation and defect tracking experience

Pay Details: $35.00 to $38.00 per hour
