Litigation Paralegal - Employment Law (Plaintiff-Side)
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Compensation: Estimated $70,000-$120,000 annually, commensurate with experience
A well-established Chicago law firm is seeking an experienced Plaintiff-Side Employment Law Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This role supports attorneys handling a wide range of employment matters and is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive paralegal with experience managing cases from intake through resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive litigation support in plaintiff-side employment law matters
  • Assist with cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and related claims
  • Draft, file, and manage pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses
  • Maintain case files, track deadlines, and manage litigation calendars
  • Organize, review, and summarize personnel files, employment records, and discovery materials
  • Assist with depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Handle state and federal court filings, including e-filing
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience; employment law experience strongly preferred
  • Plaintiff-side employment law experience highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Illinois and federal court procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
Compensation & Benefits:
This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $70,000 - $120,000.
