This engineer will work in a creative hands-on R&D atmosphere with a cross-functional team of hardware, firmware, software, and research engineers and program managers. They will contribute to the design and development of global positioning (GPS/GNSS), inertial, and digital signal communication systems and products where the key innovation is software-based. This position is available for immediate fill for a full-time, long-term engagement.
Responsibilities will include:
· Experienced at writing firmware for FPGA
· Designing and development of Firmware and Drivers for SDR
· Developing firmware algorithms and drivers to handle power control, USB communications, USB Type C Power Delivery, and UART communications packets
· Architecture, design, and implementation, of a distributed system containing PLCs and other embedded devices
· Conducting firmware/component level debug and identify solutions to complex problems
· Possessing knowledge of GPS or navigation systems, software defined radios, and digital signal processing concepts
· Mentoring Jr. Engineer in engineering principles and practices through projects
*Job Requirements*
The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and experience:
· *U.S. citizenship required *and an active secret clearance is a plus. At a minimum, must be security clearance eligible
· 5+ years of relevant FPGA programming experience
· BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical discipline
· Knowledge of Open Data Distribution Services (DDS)
· Experience with service-oriented architectures
· Experience with system integration, testing and performance analysis
· Experience with Test First Development
· Experience in supporting SW/FW
· Strong verbal & written communication skills are required
*Salary and Benefits*

Salary: $80,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year dependent on experience, skill level, and extent to which the candidate meets desired requirements
