About
As a Physical Therapist 2, you will independently perform comprehensive physical therapy assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and modify interventions based on patient progress and clinical judgment. You will educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, safety, and strategies to optimize functional independence, while ensuring that all care is aligned with current clinical standards and regulatory requirements. You will document your evaluations, daily treatment notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner using the organization’s electronic medical record system. You will also contribute to discharge planning and communicate clearly with the care team to support safe, effective transitions of care.
This role involves mentoring and supporting Physical Therapist 1 staff, therapy assistants, and students by serving as a clinical resource, sharing best practices, and demonstrating advanced clinical skills in your specialty areas of interest. You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical competency activities, and continuing education programs to maintain and advance your clinical expertise. The Physical Therapist 2 position typically requires a flexible schedule that may include weekdays and occasional weekends or holidays depending on patient volume and departmental needs.
