Outside Sales Representative

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, managing existing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory (Minnesota and Wisconsin). This role involves regular face-to-face customer engagement, prospecting, and solution-based selling to drive revenue growth and long-term customer partnerships.

Primary Duties

  • Market & Territory Management
    • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to maximize coverage and revenue
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts in CRM system
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Prospect, qualify, and develop new dealer accounts within an assigned territory
    • Conduct in-person sales calls, product demonstrations, and presentations
    • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services
    • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms in alignment with company guidelines
    • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Account Management
    • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for dealer inquiries and issues
    • Monitor customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
    • Collaborate with internal teams (customer service, operations, pricing, supply chain) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
  • Reporting & Administration
    • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management
    • Track expenses and submit reports in compliance with company policies
    • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and company events

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 25+ years of outside sales experience in powersports, auto, or aftermarket or experience selling B2B products or services is desired.
  • Knowledge of UTV/ATV industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within territory
