Comptable/Accountant

Notre client, une entreprise manufacturière bien établie située à Laval et comptant environ 200 employés, est à la recherche d’un(e) Comptable pour se joindre à son équipe finance.

Relevant du directeur financier, la personne sélectionnée participera activement au cycle comptable complet dans un environnement structuré, dynamique et orienté vers l’amélioration continue.

Responsabilités

• Participer à la préparation des états financiers mensuels et consolidés.
• Effectuer les conciliations bancaires et les écritures de journal.
• Réaliser les analyses de comptes, notamment pour l’inventaire, les comptes recevables et les comptes payables.
• Assurer le suivi des transactions intercompagnies.
• Traiter la paie et préparer les rapports de fin d’année.
• Préparer divers rapports financiers, incluant les rapports liés à la gestion de trésorerie.
• Produire les déclarations gouvernementales, incluant TPS, TVQ et autres remises applicables.
• Assurer les suivis nécessaires avec les autorités fiscales, notamment Revenu Québec.
• Participer aux audits et aux processus de fin de période.
• Effectuer la facturation et le suivi des comptes clients, incluant les suivis de collection.
• Soutenir les comptes payables au besoin.
• Contribuer à l’amélioration continue des processus comptables.

Profil recherché

• Baccalauréat en comptabilité ou dans un domaine connexe.
• 3 à 5 ans d’expérience dans un rôle similaire.
• Expérience en environnement manufacturier, un atout.
• Excellente maîtrise d’Excel et des outils Microsoft Office.
• Bonne connaissance des systèmes comptables.
• Rigueur, autonomie et bon sens des priorités.
• Bilinguisme français/anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit. (Fréquence d’utilisation de l'anglais : quotidien Niveau requis : courant Motif : interaction à l’échelle nationale)

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company located in Laval with approximately 200 employees, is looking for an Accountant to join its finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the selected candidate will actively participate in the full accounting cycle within a structured, dynamic and process-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the preparation of monthly and consolidated financial statements.
• Perform bank account balancing and journal entries.
• Complete account analyses, including inventory, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Monitor intercompany transactions.
• Process payroll and prepare year-end payroll reports.
• Prepare various financial reports, including cash management reporting.
• Prepare government remittances, including GST, QST and other applicable filings.
• Follow up with tax authorities, including Revenu Québec.
• Participate in audits and period-end processes.
• Handle invoicing and customer account follow-up, including collections.
• Support accounts payable when needed.
• Contribute to continuous accounting process improvement.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Manufacturing industry experience, an asset.
• Excellent command of Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Good knowledge of accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail, autonomy and ability to manage priorities.
• Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, due to regular interaction across Canada.
