We are looking for a Chicago-based Copywriter (and Art Director, if you have a partner!). Our ideal candidate would be a conceptual thinker who can write engaging copy and come up with brilliant ideas for a variety of mediums: video, social, long form, short form, and everything in between. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively.
Roles + Responsibilities:
Creating advertising copy for digital and social campaigns.
Understanding the message the client is seeking to deliver and translating it into attractive copy.
Receiving feedback and using it to grow and improve as a writer.
Keeping copy consistent and identifiable for each client and tone of voice.
Working within the parameters of a brief agreed upon with the client, creative director, strategy, and account teams.
Thinking creatively to produce and develop concepts, including shooting video and still concepts for social.
Presenting concepts to creative directors, account management, and clients.
Working collaboratively with each discipline to reach client needs.
Minimum Requirements:
2-4 years of copywriting experience at an agency or brand in-house group.
Experience writing both short and long-form content across all digital and traditional channels including but not limited to email, social, video, etc.
Organized and detail-obsessed, ensuring consistency with brand standards, copy editing, grammar, and spelling.
Ability to review and implement feedback.
Strong research skills to ensure all copy is correct and accurate.
Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines.
Maintain and evolve copy libraries and processes, ensuring consistency across all touch points.
Willing to work with a team to get the job done.
QSR experience a bonus!
The salary band for this role is $75,000 - $85,000. Where a prospective new hire's base salary will fall within this band depends on several factors including their qualifications and experience, the skill level required in the role, market rates, and the salaries of existing crew members at SPCSHP within the same role to maintain equity.
