All of our Sales Advisors deliver world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment, operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, wide format printing equipment, and point-of-sale devices. Sales Advisors will be trained in all services in order to personalize packing, shipping, printing, and mailbox solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate has previous customer-facing retail sales experience, strong computer and typing skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, is self-motivated, is reliable, is able to lift 40 pounds, and has a professional appearance. They must be able to multi-task, pay attention to detail in order to maintain accuracy, and work quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Delivering outstanding customer service to walk-in customers, telephone inquiries, and email inquiries
- Continuously practicing good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
- Taking action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
- Operating all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and willing to teach others
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Empathizing and managing demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience
- Taking ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offering viable solutions
- Frequently multitasking and maintaining extreme attention to detail and high quality control
Compensation is $15.00/hour for the first 90 days, with a raise to $16.00/hour + eligibility for bonus incentives.
