The Company A well-funded robotics company based in Boston building systems that operate in complex, unstructured environments. The engineering team is small, senior, and moving fast. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. The Role You will be writing production-grade firmware and embedded software for robotic platforms, working closely with hardware and controls engineers to bring systems from prototype through to deployment. The problems are genuinely hard and the work is varied. What You Will Work On Real-time firmware development on embedded Linux and RTOS platforms Low-level drivers, sensor integration, and hardware bring-up Communication protocols including CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet Performance optimization for compute-constrained environments Cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams What We Are Looking For 5+ years of embedded software experience, ideally in xywuqvp robotics or a related field Strong C/C++ across embedded systems Experience with real-time operating systems and bare-metal development Comfort working close to hardware and debugging at the register level Prior exposure to ROS or ROS2 is a plus, not a requirement How to Apply Apply via LinkedIn, or reach out directly to
