Location: Village of Onion Creek, an Independent and Assisted Living senior community
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Help residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging independence and respect.
- Serve meals in the dining room or residents' apartments, assist in meal preparation, and promote proper nutrition and hydration, respecting residents' right to free choice.
- Participate in and initiate leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and form friendships.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in residents' conditions.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment by performing general housekeeping duties.
- Follow proper procedures during emergencies and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
- Keep track of residents' locations, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
- Promote teamwork through positive interactions with co-workers.
- Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
- Attend all required in-service training sessions.
- Be an active member of the community's emergency response team.
- Current CNA certification.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Current CPR certification.
- 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
