We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor Claims Adjuster to join our team in Montréal, Québec, Canada. The position location is flexible, and we can offer in-office, hybrid or fully remote working arrangements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervision and quality oversight of claims settlements, and will support adjusters in performing administrative tasks, implementing strategy, and providing mentorship during file preparation, in accordance with provincial licensing requirements.
*This role requires frequent interactions in English and requires reading and preparing documents in English on a frequent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor adjusting practices of assigned team.
- Examine policies and settle claims while maintaining claims costs and abiding by provincial licensing regulations.
- Investigate, collect and analyze claims information.
- Accurately record, report, and present files.
- Work with Branch Manager to maintain client relations.
- Maintain accurate billing and time and expense records.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify training requirements and monitor employee job satisfaction.
- Some travel to claim sites is required from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of functional and technical experience in the insurance industry, particularly in commercial auto, property insurance, or related areas.
- AMF license (personal and commercial).
- Full professional proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written.
- Team player
- Strong attention to detail.
