We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join a leading organisation within the construction sector. This Sales Engineer role offers a £60,000 salary plus company car and focuses on field-based technical sales, customer development, and delivering engineered construction solutions on live projects.
As a Sales Engineer, you will work closely with contractors, engineers, and site teams to develop tailored technical solutions, manage key accounts, and identify new business opportunities across the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities – Sales Engineer
* Develop new business opportunities across the construction sector
* Re-engage lapsed customers and rebuild long-term commercial relationships
* Conduct site visits to understand project requirements and provide technical solutions
* Support live construction projects alongside engineering and commercial teams
* Deliver technical presentations and product/system demonstrations
* Manage a pipeline of opportunities using CRM systems
* Prepare quotations, process orders, and manage customer requirements
* Collaborate with engineering teams to understand system design and application
* Maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, and site managers
* Negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities

To be successful in this Sales Engineer role, you will need:
* Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, or Field Sales professional
* Strong understanding of construction environments and site-based operations
* Ability to read and interpret technical or construction-related information (desirable)
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Strong commercial awareness and target-driven mindset
* Ability to manage your own workload and work independently in the field
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* Positive, resilient, and proactive approach
Desirable Experience
* Construction products, structural systems, formwork, scaffolding, or engineering solutions
* Experience working with contractors, engineers, or site-based clients
* Technical sales within the construction or engineering sector
