Our client is an asset manager. They are looking for a Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting to join their team! Hybrid (3 days in office) ~ 3 weeks vacation ~ Pension/RRSP ~ Active involvement in reviewing and producing interim and annual financial statements & MRFPs for all investment funds. Provide support during the annual audit for all investment funds. Ability to work with large datasets to produce useful output based on financial reporting and/or expense/budgeting analysis requests from stakeholders. Support the expense and budget management functions for all investment funds. Assist with the monthly and year-end tax reporting process, including review of distribution calculations, tax slips and tax returns. Lead and/or contribute to critical operational and strategic projects. Undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance. Relevant industry courses considered an asset. ~ Working towards a professional designation, such as CPA, CFA, or CAIA, would be an asset. ~2+ years of experience in asset management or fund administration. ~ Solid understanding of fund accounting and investment fund industry operations. ~ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management. ~ Strong project and time management skills, with proven ability meet competing deadlines and set priorities in a dynamic environment. ~ Adaptable to changing priorities and ad hoc tasks while still maintaining a high level of attention to detail and producing high-quality output. ~ Proficient in MS Excel. Experience with databases would be considered an asset. ~ Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
