LocationThis position is based at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, MA. The property is owned by Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC, the real estate division of FM, offering a dynamic hospitality environment with strong organizational support.

Shift Hours
The standard shift for this position is 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and candidates must also have open availability on weekends to meet business needs.
Holidays
This is a 24/7 operation, so holiday coverage is required
Christmas Day is the only exception unless an event is scheduled.
Assessment
Candidates selected to move forward in the hiring process will be invited for an on-site interview, which will include a bartending stage shift. This stage allows applicants to demonstrate their skills and interact with the team in a real work environment.
Responsibilities
To operate the bar and service customers in a manner adhering to State & local Codes and company guidelines. Welcomes customers, interacts, makes recommendations and takes food and beverage orders Selects, mixes and garnishes requested beverages for customers Performs ID checks to ensure legal age of guest Inventory and supply controls – keeping bar fully stocked Adheres to all state and local food safety and alcoholic beverage laws Ensures the accuracy of all financial transactions relative to bar sales and operating the POS system Maintains clean and sanitary work area Develops new cocktail recipes
Responsibilities include but not limited to:To prepare traditional drink recipes and as customers specify according to cost guidelines and ABC codes
The ability to handle difficult situations in relation to an alcohol serving facility.
To ensure that the state and local sanitation codes are followed
Possess a positive attitude, create a nice first impression.
Responsible for recording all charges are entered into the POS system correctly and balanced at the close of the shift.
All side work is completed at the end of shift
Applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience working as a bartender in a high-volume, upscale environment.
Experience with POS systems, including Micros Symphony or similar platforms, is required.
Age RequirementIn accordance with state and local laws governing the service of alcoholic beverages, candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for this position.
SkillsPrior experience in cash handling and customer service is required.
Ability to prepare traditional drink recipes and fulfill customer requests while adhering to cost guidelines and Alcoholic Beverage Control codes.
Demonstrated capacity to handle challenging situations within an alcohol-serving facility.
Commitment to following all state and local sanitation codes.
Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with supervisors and customers in a professional and friendly manner, resolve conflicts and provide outstanding service to guests from diverse backgrounds.
Team-oriented attitude, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
Strong organizational abilities and effective time management skills, enabling task prioritization and efficient multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
Attention to detail in managing orders, requests, and customer needs during busy shifts.
Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds as part of regular job duties.
High school diploma or GED
Alcohol awareness trained (tips or similar) required
The hiring rate for this position is $8.50 an hour plus tips.

In accordance with Massachusetts law, all tipped employees are guaranteed to earn at least the applicable state minimum hourly wage. If an employee’s combined hourly wage and tips fall below this threshold during any shift, the company will make up the difference to ensure compliance.
