*Position Overview*
We are seeking a highly experienced *Salesforce Technical Architect* to support a federal client in the Washington, D.C. area. This individual will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of scalable Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and providing technical leadership across multiple projects.
This is a hands-on role that requires both strategic thinking and deep technical expertise. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced federal environment and can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while driving technical excellence.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Lead end-to-end architecture and design of Salesforce solutions across multiple projects
* Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions
* Provide hands-on development support when needed (Apex, LWC, integrations, etc.)
* Define and enforce best practices for Salesforce development, architecture, and governance
* Design and oversee integrations between Salesforce and external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, etc.)
* Ensure solutions are aligned with federal security and compliance requirements
* Mentor developers and guide technical teams through complex implementations
* Conduct code reviews and ensure quality, performance, and scalability standards are met
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, and client leadership
* Support CI/CD processes and source control best practices
*Minimum Requirements (Firm Requirements)*
* U.S. Citizenship (required for federal clearance eligibility)
* Bachelor’s Degree
* Ability to work on-site in Washington, D.C. at least 3 days per week
* 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including architecture-level responsibilities
* Active Salesforce certifications (Application Architect or System Architect required; CTA preferred or willingness to pursue)
*Required Technical Experience*
* Strong expertise in Apex (classes, triggers, batch, queueable)
* Advanced experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC)
* Experience with Salesforce Experience (Community) Cloud, including external user models
* Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud
* Deep understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, and sharing architecture
* Experience designing and implementing integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, third-party systems)
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control (e.g., Git)
* Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits and performance optimization
*Preferred Experience*
* Experience supporting federal clients or working in regulated environments
* Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST, or ATO processes
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
* Exposure to DevOps tools and automation frameworks
