JOB TITLE: Test Technician, QA LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite) PAY RANGE: $22 - $32/hr. DURATION: 6 months SCHEDULE:
Shift: To be determined Shift Days: May include weekends Shift Hours: Standard first shift, swing, or overnight
TOP 3 SKILLS:
Minimum 2 years of experience in complex testing or vehicle testing with basic QA experience. Proficiency in JIRA/Confluence (or Azure DevOps) and MS Office/Google Suites for documentation, reporting, and analysis. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to execute testing, analyze data, and support vehicle operations under high-pressure situations.
Summary:
Test Technicians are at the forefront of turning our vision into reality. As a Test Technician, your role will be to maintain a high standard of safety inside and outside the vehicle, maintain vehicle readiness, and complete software and hardware tests. s a Test Technician, you will execute testing, review data, produce ZPTs, and log them. These ZPTs include known issues and new ones that must be logged as new tickets in JIRA and communicated to engineers. You must be able to work specific shifts as required by operational demands, including early mornings, evenings, overnights and/or weekends. You will assist and interact with multiple teams across the company, from computer vision, infrastructure, and sound design to strategy, vehicle engineering, and ride operations. We are looking for operators who are disciplined, team players, and believe in doing whatever it takes to accomplish the mission. Working as a Test Technician will allow you to learn vehicle operations. You will have a front row seat to the operational complexities of realizing autonomous mobility and the chance to contribute to the future.

Responsibilities: s a Test Technician, your responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Support vehicle operations Conduct basic software operation tasks Support missions through a wide variety of roles in and out of vehicles ssist with documentation and metrics Provide accurate written and oral feedback to engineering teams ssist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness nalyze vehicle logs and test data using in-house tools to trace failures for root cause analysis, documentation, and communication Support defect management process from recognition to resolution Execute mission prep procedures, which include, but are not limited to launching software across several devices per vehicle, verifying SW and HW configurations, deploying SW as appropriate, capturing requested data, and escalating issues as they arise Execute testing and data collection to evolve processes and tools to support observed customer needs Uphold a safety-centric, inclusive, and open-communication culture
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proactive mindset and resourcefulness Proficient in JIRA/Confluence (or Azure Dev Ops) Have at least 2 YOE running complex testing or vehicle testing Basic QA testing experience Possess a "get it done" attitude, safety-first mindset, and a sense of urgency to resolve problems and tasks Must have the proven ability to problem solve and deliver on high-pressure situations Proficiency with MS Office/Google Suites Works well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
bility to code in Python (or other language) Experience with issue reporting tools (e.g. Jira) Experience with communication busses (e.g. CAN, ethernet, etc.) Scripting experience with a high-level language (e.g. Python)
