The candidate will be supporting The Ohio Department of Commerce's (COM) new website initiative application, working with a designated application team: Application Development Manager, Project Manager (PM), Technical Lead, Business Analyst (BA), Database Analyst (DBA), and Quality Analyst (QA) in an iterative development environment.
This position will function as a highly skilled Programmer 5 (PR5) with specific responsibilities that include: • Review and understand the Application Team's work plan/project plan • Participation in requirements and/or design review sessions • Develop and test application in support of the project specifications and interfaces • Collaborate with the technical team members in creating designs • Provide status of work and deliverable estimate to Project Manager and/or Technical Lead • Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks • Resolve issues of inaccuracy or feasibility • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time, work under pressure of tight deadlines, and meet assigned deadlines
1. Ability to collaborate, negotiate and take direction from the supporting resources across business and/or functional lines 2. Possess excellent communication skills; both oral and written skills including strong meeting and work session skills 3. Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills 4. Demonstrate proven experience in troubleshooting issues 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study with advanced study preferred.
8 years' relevant experience over the last 10 years: • UI/UX Design • HTML 5 • CSS • Object Oriented Java Script • BootStrap Angular 6 Adobe Photoshop / InDesign
