Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Data Engineer
to support the delivery of critical data integration and reporting solutions within a regulated environment. The role sits within an established data engineering team working on enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines. This is a hands-on engineering role covering the design, build, testing, and support of data solutions across complex systems.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain data integration and ETL solutions Develop and support data pipelines, transformations, and data flows Produce and maintain technical design documentation and engineering artefacts Work with structured databases, SQL, and enterprise data platforms Support testing activities including component, integration, and performance testing Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data and pipeline issues Contribute to CI/CD and source control practices (e.g. Git-based workflows) Collaborate with QA, engineering, and delivery teams across the lifecycle Maintain RAID logs and support delivery governance Participate in agile ceremonies and technical discussions Support production releases and post-deployment warranty periods Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers where required
Skills & Experience
Active
SC clearance is essential Strong experience in
data engineering / ETL development Experience with any ETL tool (e.g. Talend, Informatica, Pentaho, SSIS, etc.) Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle or similar RDBMS) Experience working in structured delivery environments (Agile preferred) Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g. Git) Experience supporting testing and production environments Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
