About

A well-established construction business with a strong and expanding project portfolio is seeking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join its team.
The Role As Design Manager, you will take ownership of the design process from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with project teams, clients, and external consultants, you will ensure that all design elements are coordinated, compliant, and delivered to programme.
Projects will include a mix of new build social housing, Build-to-Rent (BTR), and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the design process across multiple projects Liaise with architects, engineers, and specialist consultants Oversee design programmes, deliverables, and approvals Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards Identify and manage design risks and opportunities Provide technical support to site and project teamsAbout You
Proven experience in a Design Manager role within the construction sector Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery Experience working on residential-led schemes such as social housing, BTR, or PBSA is highly desirable Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Relevant construction or engineering qualification (preferred)Location The role is primarily based in the Northwest; however, travel to project sites outside of the Northwest will be required, so a flexible approach is essential.
