Your RoleAs a Room Leader , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the care and development of up to 15 babies under 2 years old. You will work closely with a talented team of practitioners to:
- Create a nurturing and safe environment that promotes physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
- Implement a key person approach to help babies form secure attachments.
- Guide your colleagues in identifying training and development needs.
- Maintain high-quality learning journals and records using the EyLog and EyMan systems.
- Build positive relationships with parents, inviting them to participate in activities and keeping them informed about their child’s development.
- Model professionalism, consistency, and impartiality, fostering respect among your team, parents, and children.
- Ensure compliance with the statutory requirements of the EYFS framework and uphold safety standards.
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Essential: Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
- Previous experience working with babies under 2 years old.
- A passion for outdoor learning and enthusiasm for forest school activities.
- Strong understanding of child development and the ability to provide purposeful learning experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in working with parents and colleagues.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
