About
As a Physical Therapist 2, you will independently manage a caseload of patients referred from physicians and advanced practice providers, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, neurological events, cardiopulmonary conditions, and complex medical or trauma-related diagnoses. You will complete comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement individualized plans of care, provide skilled therapeutic interventions, and continually reassess progress to ensure safe and effective outcomes. You will communicate regularly with patients, families, and the care team to educate, set goals, and support discharge planning.
You will work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals in a culture that emphasizes integrity, compassion, accountability, and inclusion. In addition to direct patient care, the Physical Therapist 2 will help support quality initiatives, contribute to clinical documentation best practices, and may assist in mentoring Physical Therapist 1 staff, students, and therapy assistants.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. Responsibilities include performing standardized assessments, formulating treatment plans using current best evidence, instructing patients in therapeutic exercises and functional activities, applying manual therapy and modalities as appropriate, and ensuring accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation that meets regulatory and hospital standards. You will participate in interdisciplinary rounds as appropriate, contribute to safe discharge recommendations and equipment needs, and support patient and family education for home programs.
