About

Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled and patient-centered CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT imaging studies to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients across our hospitals and clinics in Texas. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will prepare and position patients for CT examinations, follow established imaging protocols, and ensure images meet diagnostic standards. You will verify patient identity, review clinical histories and orders, and communicate clearly with patients and families to explain procedures, address concerns, and promote a compassionate, respectful experience. This position requires meticulous attention to radiation safety and infection prevention practices, including the appropriate use of shielding, adherence to ALARA principles, and consistent equipment quality checks. You will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting CT scanners and related imaging equipment, administering contrast agents under established guidelines, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and documenting all procedures accurately in the electronic health record. Collaboration and accountability are central to this role; you will coordinate imaging schedules with emergency, inpatient, and outpatient departments, respond to STAT and trauma imaging requests, and support a culture of integrity, inclusiveness, and continuous improvement. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will assist with training new staff or students as needed, participate in performance improvement initiatives, maintain required certifications, and stay current with evolving CT technology and safety standards. Methodist Health System offers a supportive, team-oriented environment grounded in compassion and high-quality care, where your technical expertise and commitment to patient safety will directly contribute to improving and saving lives in the communities we serve.
