As a Nursery Room Leader, you will:
- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
- Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs.
- Assist staff in maintaining the EyLog system and updating child learning journals with high-quality documentation.
- Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
- Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments and identify training needs for staff.
- Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
- Understand and meet the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification: Essential
- Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years: Essential
- Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position: Desirable
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations: Desirable
- Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS: Essential
- Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential
This position offers a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week , spread over 4 days . We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children, and all staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts, subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duty.
