You’ll lead the transition of on-prem reporting to Microsoft Fabric, designing a modern, cloud-first data architecture that supports better decision-making across the organisation. This is a role where you’ll set strategy and standards while staying hands-on, working with the latest Microsoft technologies to deliver real change.

What you’ll be doing
Leading the migration of SSRS reports into Microsoft Fabric, modernising how data and reporting is delivered. Designing and delivering a scalable data architecture with clear governance, standards, and documentation. Working closely with teams across the organisation, understanding their needs, and translating them into practical data solutions. Building and optimising data pipelines and integrations, ensuring performance and reliability. Championing data quality, security, and compliance, embedding best practice across all data activities. What we’re looking for
Either an experienced Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer who is ready to progress into an architect role. Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, data governance, and data modelling best practices. Hands-on expertise with SQL databases and data warehousing, with experience migrating on-prem reporting to the cloud. Practical experience with Microsoft’s data stack, particularly Microsoft Fabric. Great communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is an opportunity to lead a high-profile data transformation. You will own data architecture within the organisation, while remaining hands-on, working collaboratively with some fantastic colleagues.
