About

What You’ll Do Modernize and refactor complex business logic currently embedded within PostgreSQL functions Design scalable schemas and analytics-ready data models Build performance-optimized queries to support high-volume data environments Design, develop, and own production-grade data pipelines from ingestion through consumption Implement database partitioning, indexing, and tuning strategies Ensure data quality, testing, monitoring, and operational reliability across pipelines Troubleshoot and resolve production data and performance issues Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to improve data accessibility and usability Support long-term scalability and modernization of legacy database systems Contribute to architecture decisions surrounding data infrastructure and reliability Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Backend Engineering, or related technical roles Deep production-level experience with PostgreSQL and advanced SQL Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy database-centric systems Strong proficiency with Python or similar data engineering language Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines Experience designing scalable data models and schemas Knowledge of query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and database performance tuning Experience supporting production systems and troubleshooting complex data issues Preferred Qualifications Experience preparing data platforms for AI or machine learning workloads Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow Experience working with cloud-based data platforms Background implementing automated data quality checks and testing frameworks Experience building highly reliable, scalable data infrastructure
