About

Baptist Neighborhood Hospital, a community-focused healthcare facility in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a skilled CT/Radiology Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform both CT and general radiographic imaging exams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients in an efficient, patient-centered environment. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver high-quality imaging services while upholding our commitment to compassion, safety, and clinical excellence.
The CT/Radiology Technologist is responsible for preparing and positioning patients for CT and X-ray procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, and optimizing scan parameters to produce high-quality diagnostic images with the lowest reasonable radiation dose. You will verify patient identification and exam orders, explain procedures in a clear and reassuring manner, and provide compassionate support to patients and families. This position requires careful attention to radiation safety, adherence to ALARA principles, and consistent use of protective equipment and shielding.
Daily responsibilities include performing a variety of CT and radiographic exams according to physician orders and departmental protocols, assessing image quality, and ensuring that studies are complete and ready for interpretation. You will work within a fast-paced hospital environment, prioritizing cases appropriately, collaborating with emergency and inpatient teams, and responding promptly to urgent and STAT imaging needs. The technologist will also assist with contrast administration, including IV insertion when required, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and following all safety and documentation procedures.
The technologist will accurately document patient information, exam details, and contrast usage in the electronic medical record and imaging systems, utilizing PACS and RIS to manage and transmit images. You will participate in quality control activities, routine equipment checks, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues, promptly reporting malfunctions to ensure minimal disruption to patient care. Strict adherence to infection control procedures, safe patient handling, and hospital policies is expected at all times.
Baptist Neighborhood Hospital fosters a culture of collaboration, compassion, and excellence, and you will be an active participant in multidisciplinary communication, sharing relevant imaging information with providers and supporting a seamless patient experience. The hospital is committed to employee well-being and professional growth, offering access to ongoing training, continuing education, and opportunities to expand skills in advanced imaging techniques and protocols.
This position is ideal for a technologist who values close interaction with patients, enjoys working as part of a supportive team, and seeks to contribute directly to high-quality, community-based care. Candidates should bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and calmly in a dynamic environment that includes emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging.
By joining Baptist Neighborhood Hospital, you will have the opportunity to grow your CT and radiology expertise, participate in innovative healthcare practices, and make a meaningful difference for patients in the San Antonio community, all within an organization that prioritizes patient-centered care and supports your ongoing professional development. A competitive compensation package is offered, along with comprehensive benefits that typically include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) retirement options.
