Position: Teacher

Contract: Part-time, 15 hours per week (2 days), term time only

Salary: £28,000 - £39,590 pro rata

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Battle

Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

At ISP School, nestled in the beautiful Glengorse Estate in Battle, East Sussex, we specialize in providing education for 7-18-year-olds facing social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), as well as communication and learning needs. We are on the lookout for an inspirational qualified teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. If you have experience working across Key Stages 3 & 4 and are ready to guide students with a solid understanding of the National Curriculum—especially in Functional Skills Maths and/or English—we want to hear from you!

• Teach at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Plan, prepare, and present engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of your students.
• Utilize our positive behaviour policy to foster responsibility and accountability among students.
• Inspire a love of learning and motivate students to thrive in their educational journey.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Successful teaching experience, particularly with vulnerable children.
• Experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), focusing on nurturing children with SEMH and ASC needs.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, especially in Maths or English.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• A reflective practitioner who understands therapeutic approaches to education.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
• Proven track record of delivering dynamic and engaging lessons.
