About
You will greet and prepare patients, verify orders, obtain relevant medical history, and explain procedures in a clear, reassuring manner that reflects our commitment to personalized and compassionate care. The CT/Radiology Technologist will perform IV insertions and administer contrast media when indicated, monitor patients throughout the procedure, and respond appropriately to any changes in condition or contrast reactions. Using your knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques, you will adjust scanning parameters, evaluate images for diagnostic adequacy, and collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure that studies are complete and clinically useful.
This position requires diligent adherence to infection control policies, radiation safety guidelines, and departmental protocols. You will accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR), utilize PACS and radiology information systems (RIS) for image processing and exam tracking, and assist with routine quality control checks on imaging equipment. The role involves frequent interaction with nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals, demanding strong communication skills, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset that aligns with our culture of collaboration and excellence.
At Baptist Neighborhood Hospital, we emphasize efficiency and quality while never losing sight of the patient experience. As a CT/Radiology Technologist, you will help maintain a safe, calm, and respectful environment for patients and their families, adapting to diverse needs and age groups. You will participate in rotating shifts, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, and may take call as needed to support 24/7 hospital operations. You will also contribute to ongoing performance improvement efforts, protocol optimization, and best-practice initiatives in diagnostic imaging.
Our organization is deeply committed to continuous professional growth and employee well-being. In this role, you will have access to ongoing training, cross-training opportunities within imaging services, and exposure to innovative healthcare practices and technologies. You will be encouraged to pursue continuing education, additional certifications such as ARRT (CT), and involvement in departmental projects that advance patient-centered care. Joining Baptist Neighborhood Hospital means becoming part of a collaborative, supportive team that values integrity, compassion, and clinical excellence while providing meaningful opportunities to grow your career in medical imaging.
