Position Details

Hours: 40 hours per week (4.5 days)
Salary: £13.08 per hour

About Us

At Rushden Day Nursery, we pride ourselves on creating a friendly, welcoming, and secure environment for children aged 0-5 years, along with an out-of-school club for children up to 12 years. As a Level 2 Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work with either our younger children (0-3 years) or support our preschool and out-of-school club (3-12 years), depending on your strengths and interests.

Your Role: Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
  • Ensure compliance with the statutory framework for the EYFS.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery.
  • Support the smooth running of the nursery and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships, reporting any concerns to management.
  • Facilitate a strong key person approach to help children form secure attachments.
  • Attend regular team meetings to stay updated on key priorities and company policies.
Requirements and Skills
  • Full and relevant Level 2 childcare qualification – essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English – essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years – desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements – desirable
