Maintenance Attendant

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Jazz Longueuil is currently looking for dynamic new colleagues to join the existing team. The residence is located close to all services and with easy access to public transportation. The staff is welcoming, and the residents are excited to meet new faces. The Maintenance Attendant performs various maintenance tasks in the common areas and apartments.
This is a permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, daytime hours from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and weekends as needed.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Change light bulbs in common areas
• Collaborate or perform any other tasks related to the maintenance department, as needed and at the request of the immediate superior
• Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the premises
• Make minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, painting, changing lights, various installations, etc.)
• Provide assistance to residents for any defect under the responsibility of the residence

Construction

• Maintain property areas and systems
• All other related tasks
• Be available to respond to emergencies
• Communicate the maintenance needs for materials and products and upkeep of the building to the immediate superior
• Preventive maintenance on equipment

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
• Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and minor repairs
• Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
