We are on the lookout for a Management Accountant to join our UK-based US Finance Team! Reporting to the UK-based US Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the management accounts process for our US entity. This is a high-visibility role with the opportunity to influence how our function develops as we scale in the US.

This is a hybrid working role, with 3 days a week in our Leeds office.

Month-End Close & Reporting

• Take full ownership of the US month-end management accounts, ensuring accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations are prepared to a high standard and on time.
• Conduct variance analysis against budget and prior year, providing clear, commercially-grounded commentary for the Finance Manager and business stakeholders.
• Reconcile financial data against operational reporting to ensure completeness and integrity.
• Support the US year-end audit process, including preparation of schedules and liaising with auditors.

Budgeting & Forecasting Support

• Provide accurate, timely schedules and underlying data to support the FP&A team through the US annual budget and reforecast cycles.
• Maintain site-level actuals and reconciled figures to ensure FP&A works from clean, reliable numbers.
• Assist with monthly cash flow reporting for the US entity.

Business Partnering & Compliance

• Regularly liaise with US operational teams to explain financial performance and support decision-making.
• Collaborate with the US accounts payable team on invoice approval and payment processes.
• Support US-specific regulatory reporting requirements.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as directed by the Finance Manager or senior stakeholders.

While a formal qualification isn’t a prerequisite, we value your experience and what you’ve accomplished. You should have a proven track record in a management accounts environment, with the technical ability and commercial curiosity to thrive in a fast-growing setup.

• Proven end-to-end ownership of a month-end management accounts process.
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to handle large datasets and produce clean reporting outputs.
• High attention to detail and the discipline to self-review before anything goes out.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing deadlines.
• Comfortable collaborating with remote stakeholders across different time zones.
• Intellectually curious — you ask why, not just what.

• Exposure to US GAAP or experience supporting a non-UK entity.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 Finance and/or Power BI.
• Background in a multi-site, high-growth, or retail/leisure business.

A formal accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) is not required for this role.
