*Minimum Qualifications*
* High School Diploma or equivalent (college-level coursework preferred)
* Current *Paramedic (EMT-P) Certification* from a recognized training program
* Must be insurable under Fast Track EMS driver’s insurance policy
* Legible handwriting and ability to use electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) systems
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

*Primary Function*
Under general supervision, provide *basic to advanced emergency care* in a dynamic rural 911 setting. Lead and support EMT partners and students, assess and manage illness or injury, prepare patients for transport, ensure clear communication, and deliver compassionate, professional care in high-stakes situations.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide *advanced life support (ALS)* and pre-hospital emergency care in response to 911 calls
* Operate and monitor equipment such as EKGs, defibrillators, airway devices, and advanced medication delivery systems
* Perform rapid patient assessments and manage life-threatening conditions in accordance with state and local protocols
* Prepare patients for safe transport while maintaining compliance with regulations and agency standards
* Accurately document patient care and transfer information to receiving facilities
* Lead and mentor EMT partners and students in professional practice
* Inspect and maintain emergency medical equipment for readiness and compliance
* Uphold departmental policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
* Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure in rapidly changing situations
* Knowledge of advanced paramedic procedures and protocols
* Familiarity with EMS transport operations, equipment, and safety regulations
* Strong skills in documentation, communication, and teamwork
* Leadership ability to guide EMT partners and support less experienced providers
*Licenses/Certifications/Requirements*
* Current & valid *Paramedic license* (State OEMS)
* Current & valid *AHA BLS certification*
* Current *EVOC certification* (may be completed upon hire)
* Annual TB clearance
* Must be in good standing with State OEMS
*Physical Requirements*
* Ability to lift and move:
* *75 lbs minimum independently*
* *76+ lbs with team assistance*
* Safe performance of stretcher, equipment, and patient handling in diverse environments
