About the Role

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re looking for a passionate Technical Manager with extensive experience in building management systems to join our dynamic team. While this role is based in our London office, you’ll have the opportunity to travel across the southern region.

In this pivotal position, you will lead and manage technical risks and opportunities from project inception to completion. Your focus will be on design optimization, identifying opportunities, and mitigating technical risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant specifications and legislation.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Champion health and safety leadership, ensuring a safety-first culture in all activities.
  • Oversee technical engineering management on projects, ensuring best value design and effective risk mitigation.
  • Provide technical advice and support to various business areas, enhancing our business development efforts.
  • Assist in producing accurate technical management fees and forecasts, identifying opportunities to maximize profitability.
  • Support the Principal Technical Manager in delivering Continuous Professional Development (CPD) sessions.
  • Prepare monthly project reports for senior stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and resource issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Proactively communicate with project stakeholders to enhance collaboration.
  • Conduct regular independent design reviews to ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
  • Apply current legislation regarding building regulations, quality control, and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
  • Extensive experience with building management systems.
  • Operational experience in project installation.
  • Strong understanding of design and build, as well as traditional construction contracts.
  • Significant experience in commercial management on design projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications (Desirable)
  • I.Eng, MCIBSE, MIET, B.Eng (Hons) or equivalent.
