We are seeking dependable and safety‑focused Equipment Operators to join our Distribution Center team. In this role, you will operate wire‑guided powered equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling machinery to safely load, move, and position freight. You will also support cross‑dock and consolidation functions to ensure accurate, efficient product flow throughout the warehouse.

Pay & Schedule

  • Starting Pay: $22.00
  • Shift Differential: .75
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Position Summary

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating powered equipment—including forklifts and wire‑guided systems—to prepare, load, and move freight. You will ensure product accuracy, maintain clean work areas, and follow all safety requirements. This role also supports basic cross‑dock and consolidation activities to keep warehouse operations running smoothly.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

Equipment Operation

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, wire‑guided vehicles, and other powered equipment.
• Perform preliminary safety inspections on all assigned equipment.
• Maintain required certifications for wire‑guided power equipment and radio‑frequency unit use.

Loading & Trailer Preparation

• Move and position freight onto trailers safely and efficiently.
• Verify trailer size and number, review load requirements, and check orders for accuracy.
• Secure merchandise using tape, shrink wrap, or other stabilizing materials.
• Ensure proper weight distribution for safe transport and vehicle stability.
• Maximize trailer space while minimizing load imbalance and damage risk.

Quality, Accuracy & Inventory Support

• Inspect products for damage or defects; report quality concerns promptly.
• Verify product specifications, SKUs, quantities, and labels match order requirements.
• Support inventory accuracy by tracking item movement, documenting discrepancies, and assisting with stock monitoring.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas in alignment with facility safety guidelines.

Cross‑Functional Warehouse Support

• Coordinate with warehouse personnel, loaders, and drivers to support efficient workflow.
• Understand basic cross‑dock functions, including unloading inbound freight, checking for damages/accuracy, and sorting by destination.
• Perform basic consolidation tasks such as stacking product efficiently, maximizing pallet capacity, and securing pallets for safe movement.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification on warehouse powered equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with team lift.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime or weekends during peak periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience.
• Previous powered‑equipment experience (forklift, pallet jack, wire‑guided systems).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$17.00 - $34.15

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
