Hourly Rate: $23

Minimum Availability Requirement: 

  • 11am - 7:30pm, Monday through Friday
  • 7:30am – 3:30pm Saturday

This is an in-office role reporting to Intercare’s Torrance Clinic. 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred 
  • At least 6 months of experience in an administrative, customer service, or education role 
  • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred 
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills 
  • Comfort with multitasking and supporting multiple teams 
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a flexible mindset 
  • Must pass DOJ/FBI background check  
  • Must provide proof of TB clearance

Job Description

The role of the Administrative Behavior Technician is multifaceted, encompassing both direct programming responsibilities and supplemental administrative duties within our clinic environments. This hybrid position not only involves delivering direct programming interventions to clients but also extends to providing crucial administrative support to ensure the smooth operations of our clinics. Beyond their direct involvement in client sessions, Administrative Behavior Technicians play a pivotal role in maintaining the functional efficiency of the clinic by assisting with various administrative tasks and contributing to the overall coordination, organization of daily activities, and customer service of our clients and client familiesIn essence, the ABTembodies versatility and adaptability essential to the success of our centers.

Reports to: Center Operations Specialist 

Administrative Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as a point of contact for client check-in/check-out at the front desk 
  • Assist with answering phones, handling inquiries, and managing cancellation/reschedule requests 
  • Utilize innovative technologies including Salesforce, CentralReach and Vonage and participate in the evaluation of these systems, giving frequent, productive feedback 
  • Monitor late arrivals and early pick-ups; ensure BI and client sessions are adjusted accordingly 
  • Maintain center cleanliness and readiness through opening/closing routines and room checks 
  • Support scheduling and real-time adjustments to session coverage or room assignments 
  • Track and manage client and staff sign-in sheets to ensure alignment with schedules 
  • Provide spotter coverage for bathroom breaks to ensure continuous supervision 
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials and stimuli as needed 
  • Monitor and escalate minor facilities issues (e.g., broken items, maintenance needs) 
  • Manage staff tablets and other IT equipment for the center and region including tablet charging, inventory, distribution, troubleshooting, and collection 
  • Assist with staff onboarding tasks such as device setup or orientation checklists 
  • Support coordination of staff schedules for front desk and spot-check coverage 
  • Participate in planning and execution of small center events and celebrations 
  • Vendor Support - Facilities Maintenance: Coordinate with facilities maintenance vendors for necessary support and upkeep. 
  • Create and maintain staff ID badges for the center or regional team 

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide last-minute or fill-in session coverage in the event of BI absences or cancellations, based on availability and training 
  • An Interventionist provides direct services to individuals with autism disorders, implementing clinical programs for each client under the supervision of a Program Manager and/or Clinical Supervisor.  
  • Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, implement each client’s clinical treatment programming and behavior intervention strategies by providing one-on-one direct intervention and therapy services to individuals with autism and related disorders 
  • Maintain punctual, consistent, reliable schedule with clients 
  • Provide autism and ABA education and training to primary caregivers and family members, in their native language as necessary 
  • Produce required administrative and clinical paperwork with accuracy and timeliness 
  • Communicate with caregivers during transitions (e.g., relay relevant notes or updates) 
  • Participate in ongoing training and feedback to support skill development and certification 
  • Provide a consistent and positive experience to clients and families

It may take 6-8 weeks to build up your client case load as we match you with clientsappropriate to your new hire skill level, geography and schedule availability. You must be willing to drive 20 to 40 miles a day. Although we try to place you with clients that are geographically close to home for you, convenience is NOT guaranteed. Drive time between clients is paid and mileage between clients is reimbursed. Work is conducted in the client home, in-school, or in-clinic in alignment with the availability you’ve provided, when clinician and client family schedules allow, or if relevant to the client treatment program goals. Your availability to work is critical for your successful training and ongoing career with Intercare Therapy.
