As a Quality Inspector, you will support the team responsible for the construction of the high and medium voltage electrical installations connecting the wind turbines to the substation. You will work closely with the Engineers, the Superintendent, the Coordinator and the site teams to ensure that technical procedures are followed on the site.
This role is based on construction site on a full-time basis. We operate multiple construction sites across the province of Québec. This role therefore requires a high level of geographic mobility, as well as availability to work on a rotational schedule, based on project needs. To facilitate mobility, employees residing more than 120 km from the work site will be mobilized on site and may be eligible for certain benefits, in accordance with the company’s policies.

Do you have what it takes? Positive energy and...
• Hold a college diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and/or any relevant experience;
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in similar functions on the construction of large civil projects;
• Experience working in manifold substations or systems and/or high-voltage installations is an asset;
• Proficiency in spoken and written French;
• Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English to interact with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, partners, and colleagues at the national level. Is required to participate in coordination meetings and deliver progress updates to English-speaking stakeholders;
• Good command of Office Suite, especially Excel;
• High geographical mobility and a valid driver's license;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Autonomy and leadership;
• Be able to adapt to a stressful environment and subject to weather fluctuations (construction site).
What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
• Consult the Superintendent of Electrical Works (collector system and/or substation);
• Execute the quality plan throughout its labour inspections;
• Act as an intermediary between the contractor and the subcontractor with regard to the quality of electrical work;
• Identify quality problems and deviation points in the overall quality and quality of the environment;
• Commit to finding, recommending and providing solutions to problems;
• Stop any activity that contravenes the quality of materials or environmental constraints;
• Oversee the process of resolving an issue until it is fully resolved;
• Write reports of non-conformance, if necessary.
• Support the project members in the implementation of the quality plan;
• Ensure the validity of quality-related documents and control them;
• Conduct independent inspections in accordance with the Enforcement Procedures and ITPs;
• Ensure that those responsible for subcontractors' work quality inspections do their job and carry out necessary inspections as required;
• Ensure that all materials used in the work are deemed to be compliant;
• Monitor the receipt of equipment and inventory;
• Compile and interpret data and statistics related to the work performed;
• Identify issues and monitor corrective actions;
• Produce, in collaboration with the Superintendent, end-of-project records based on the progress of the work.
