Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our broad Healthcare & Medical network. As a CMA with Sanford Health, you will play a vital role in supporting providers and nurses while delivering safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care in one of the largest health systems in the United States. In this role, you will work directly with patients in a fast-paced clinical environment, welcoming them to the clinic, obtaining and documenting vital signs, chief complaints, and medical histories, and preparing exam rooms and equipment for visits and procedures. You will perform a variety of clinical tasks within your scope of practice, which may include administering injections and immunizations as allowed by state regulations, performing EKGs, collecting and processing laboratory specimens, assisting with basic wound care, and supporting minor in-office procedures. Accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record is essential as you help ensure continuity and quality of care across our clinics, hospitals, and senior living facilities. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other team members to coordinate patient care, reinforce patient education, and provide clear instructions for follow-up and ongoing treatment.
