We are searching for a Dental Assistant

Full time Dental Assistant position available in Altamonte Springs and Mount Dora FL. We are a private practice, and one of our core values is ensuring superior customer service and patient care. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients in the dental practice
  • Prepare patients for exams and treatment ensuring their comfort
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide excellent assistance and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
  • Highly organized, attention to detail is critical
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures as needed

Skills

  • Proven experience as dental assistant - 1 year RECENT experience required
  • Experience working with crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and implants highly preferred
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Highly skilled taking Alignate impressions
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
  • Curve, Weave, Dexis experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable. Dependability is a must!
  • High school diploma; graduate from dental assistant school is preferred
  • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)


Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Thursday
