About
Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our network of hospitals and clinics across Texas. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services to a diverse patient population, helping individuals restore function, improve mobility, manage pain, and enhance their overall quality of life. You will perform comprehensive patient evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver a full range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and the safe application of physical therapy modalities. Working in alignment with Methodist Health System’s mission to improve and save lives with compassion and clinical excellence, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, effective, and timely care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Daily responsibilities include completing thorough assessments, setting measurable functional goals, documenting care accurately in the electronic medical record, communicating treatment progress with patients, families, and the care team, and participating in discharge planning and patient education to support a safe transition to home or the next level of care. You will be expected to adhere to all regulatory and professional practice standards, uphold strict infection control and patient safety protocols, and actively contribute to a culture that emphasizes integrity, compassion, accountability, and inclusion. As part of Methodist Health System’s collaborative environment, you will participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to maintain and advance your clinical skills. This position offers the opportunity to work primarily in a field/on-site hospital and clinic environment with potential for limited hybrid responsibilities related to documentation or patient follow-up. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, self-directed, and comfortable managing a varied caseload that may include orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and medically complex patients. Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to educate patients and families about home exercise programs and long-term wellness strategies are essential. Methodist Health System offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and a 401k retirement plan, reflecting our commitment to supporting the well-being and professional growth of our team members.
