Location: Cardiff, Wales Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:10pm) Daily Rate: £172.98 - £200 (dependent on experience)
A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Cardiff is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time position teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a creative and well-resourced department.
Both experienced teachers and ECTs/NQTs are strongly encouraged to apply.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative Design Technology lessons, inspiring pupils to develop their creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities. The school places a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching and learning, and is looking for someone who can contribute positively to its supportive and collaborative environment.
Teaching A-Level Design & Technology experience is preferred but not essential.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design & Technology Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) Strong classroom management skills Excellent understanding of the Welsh Curriculum Enthusiasm and genuine passion for Design & Technology Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities Ideally some ability to speak Welsh (desirable, not essential)

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) Two professional references
