Physical Therapist 2

Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist 2 to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department, contributing to our mission of improving and saving lives with compassion and high-quality care. As a Physical Therapist 2, you will provide advanced, evidence-based physical therapy evaluation and treatment to patients across our hospitals and clinics, helping individuals restore function, reduce pain, and improve mobility and quality of life. Working in a collaborative, inclusive environment that values integrity, compassion, and accountability, you will independently manage a caseload of patients with a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical conditions. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and regularly reassess patient progress, modifying interventions as needed to ensure safe and effective outcomes. The Physical Therapist 2 will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care, contribute to discharge planning, and support safe transitions across care settings. You will provide patient and family education on home exercise programs, injury prevention, assistive devices, and strategies for maximizing independence. In this role, you will adhere to all professional practice standards, state and federal regulations, and Methodist Health System policies, maintaining thorough and timely electronic documentation that meets regulatory and reimbursement requirements. You will actively participate in performance improvement initiatives, contribute to program development, and support the orientation and mentorship of newer therapists, therapy assistants, and students as appropriate. The Physical Therapist 2 is expected to maintain current professional licensure, pursue continuing education to stay current with best practices, and uphold high standards of professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and patient-centered care.
