Data Engineer - Salesforce Data Migration
for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL (Remote). This role is responsible for designing source‑to‑target mappings, optimizing Databricks pipelines, and ensuring accurate, high‑quality data delivery across Salesforce platforms.
Rate Range:
$55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities
Extract, transform, and migrate complex legacy datasets using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
Design and implement source‑to‑target mappings aligned to Salesforce data models across Sales, Service, Experience, and Marketing Cloud.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and defect/root‑cause analysis to ensure data quality and accuracy.
Support unit testing and UAT while resolving data gaps and inconsistencies with cross‑functional teams.
Collaborate with business analysts, Salesforce developers, and multiple workstreams to deliver production‑ready data assets.
Manage tasks, priorities, and defects in Jira while contributing to standardized migration frameworks and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
5–7 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and large‑scale data migration projects.
Proven hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks in enterprise data environments.
Prior experience delivering end‑to‑end Salesforce data migration across multiple clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing Cloud).
Pay Details:
$55.00 to $60.00 per hour.
