We are seeking a NYS licensed Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a customer-focused, positive attitude.
This crucial role will ensure an exceptional eye care experience, assisting patients in selecting eyewear and lenses, adjusting and dispensing eyewear, and verifying prescription accuracy.
This position requires a blend of clinical knowledge and retail experience to enhance patient satisfaction and promote eye health.
*Duties*
* Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear, from economical to fashion and designer frames.
* Measure, adjust and dispense frames accurately. Keep accurate notes and order details to ensure smooth and efficient patient experience.
* Maintain knowledge of current eyewear trends, lens options, and frame styles to effectively advise patients.
* Utilize clinic systems for managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and processing orders.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers and colleagues to provide a positive patient experience.
*Skills*
* Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members alike.
* Experience with medical scheduling software or EHR, like Eyefinity and Acuity Logic for example.
* Willingness to learn from team members and support others in areas outside of your immediate role; answering phones, scheduling appointments, and administrative tasks.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
