Job DescriptionAt Honeywell, Mechanical Design Engineers are critical drivers of innovation and product excellence. As a Mechanical Design Engineer II within Honeywell Thermal Solutions, you will leverage your engineering expertise to design, develop, and improve mechanical components and systems that power advanced thermal technologies. This role offers the opportunity to influence product performance and reliability while contributing to sustainability and safety initiatives that have a global impact.In this position, you will support both sustaining engineering efforts-addressing manufacturing challenges, customer returns, and part changes-and new product development by generating innovative ideas that push the boundaries of thermal solutions. Reporting to the Safety and Controls Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with compliance engineers to ensure products meet regulatory standards and develop comprehensive test plans executed in partnership with lab technicians. Your work will directly support the advancement and success of Honeywell's thermal product portfolio.Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive innovation by generating and developing new product ideas that enhance thermal solutions and meet evolving market needs
Lead the creation of detailed test plans and collaborate with lab technicians to execute testing for product development, validation, and compliance
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex engineering challenges related to product performance, manufacturability, and reliability
Partner with compliance engineers to ensure all products adhere to applicable regulatory and safety standards
Support sustaining engineering activities including troubleshooting manufacturing issues, analyzing customer returns, and implementing part changes
