About

THE NEW NIKE — a sports company for this generation.

We're building the world's largest basketball company — a cultural movement at the intersection of sport, media, and community. To get there, our CEO needs his first executive team hire: someone who can be his line of defense, extension, and amplifier.

This isn't a traditional Chief of Staff role. It's the first seat on the CEO's executive arm — managing Brodie's internal planning, people operations, press/PR, and the founder's personal platform (LinkedIn daily, Substack weekly, YouTube weekly). You'll work side by side with the CEO to turn vision into execution, keep the team aligned, and scale Brodie's voice globally.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Be the CEO's force multiplier
    — manage priorities, people, and projects so he can focus on growth and strategy.
  • Own Brodie's planning system
(quarterly goals, exec reviews, strategic calendars) and ensure flawless execution.
  • Run press, PR, and external communications
    — from inbound requests to proactive storytelling that positions Brodie as the next Nike.
  • Build and execute the CEO's content machine
: daily LinkedIn, weekly Substack, weekly YouTube drops.
  • Act as the CEO's line of defense
: filter distractions, manage information flow, protect time.
  • Lead special projects
that cut across operations, partnerships, and culture.
  • Directly manage select staff/contractors
in content, comms, and operations with authority to drive execution.
  • Set the tone as a culture carrier
    — reinforcing Brodie's principles and scaling leadership across 20+ employees and 35,000+ athletes.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Hungry to build the next Nike — you want to be in the trenches of a generational company.
  • Obsessively organized — you thrive on systems, checklists, and turning chaos into clarity.
  • Strong writer and communicator — can draft a press release, a social post, or an internal memo with the same sharpness.
  • Comfortable being both strategic and tactical — one hour you're setting up a planning session, the next you're editing a YouTube caption.
  • High EQ and people-savvy — you manage relationships inside and outside the company with maturity and confidence.
  • Ambitious, discreet, and loyal — you see yourself as the CEO's partner, not just support.
  • Experience:
3–5+ years in a Chief of Staff, founder's office, strategy, or comms-heavy role. Startup, media, or sports experience a plus.
  • Pace:
You thrive in a fast-moving, always-on environment where priorities shift daily.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Brodie's quarterly planning and review system runs seamlessly.
  • CEO's content machine delivers consistently and grows reach 3–5x.
  • Press and PR deliver 1–2 major earned media hits per quarter.
  • Team alignment and clarity on goals are at an all-time high.
  • The CEO spends 80% of his time on growth and strategy, not firefighting.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Salary:
    $70,000–$120,000 CAD (depending on experience).
  • Direct access to the CEO, investors, and top operators in sport + media.
  • A front-row seat to scaling a company from $25M to $500M+.
  • Internal growth track: this is the first role on the CEO's Exec Arm, with a clear path to VP-level leadership.
  • Location:
Toronto-based preferred; hybrid flexibility with travel to major events.
  • Live the Brodie lifestyle:
free league play, Triples apparel, retreats, and the chance to change the culture of basketball.
