Key Responsibilities
* Defend clients in criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, including arraignments, pre-trial motions, plea negotiations, and trials.
* Advise clients on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and collaborate with immigration counsel to mitigate risks.
* Prepare and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, petitions, and appeals, in both immigration and criminal courts.
* Conduct legal research and stay current on changes in immigration and criminal law.
* Appear in immigration court, criminal court, and administrative hearings as needed.
* Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards.
* Provide compassionate, culturally competent legal services to diverse client populations.
* Collaborate with paralegals, interpreters, and other attorneys to ensure high-quality representation.
Qualifications
* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
* Active license to practice law in Georgia.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in immigration and/or criminal defense law.
* Strong understanding of the intersection between immigration and criminal law.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
