Frontend Engineer — Alex (via Dynamism)
San Francisco, CA · In-person, 5 days/week $160k–$220k + equity, health insurance, unlimited PTO
Why Alex?
Alex.com (formerly Apriora) is building an AI recruiter that conducts live two-way video and phone interviews autonomously.
Founded in San Francisco in 2023, Alex has grown to a team of around 30 and raised $20M to date, including a $17M Series A led by Peak XV Partners and seed backing from 1984 Ventures. The company is backed by Y Combinator, Uncorrelated Ventures, Dalton Caldwell, and Fortune 500 CHROs.
The traction is real. Alex now runs 5,000+ interviews per day, has a 92% five-star candidate rating, a 90%+ interview completion rate, and operates 24/7 — with 48% of interviews taking place outside normal business hours. Customers include Fortune 100 companies, global banks, Big Four accounting firms, and nationwide restaurant chains.
The product sits at a rare intersection of real-time conversational AI, voice, video, enterprise software, and hiring infrastructure. Alex supports 26+ languages, runs technical interviews including Python and system design, integrates with 30+ ATS platforms (Workday, SuccessFactors, Bullhorn), and is building fraud detection and bias auditing infrastructure at enterprise scale.
Small team, large ambitions, unusually rich product surface.
About the role
We're hiring a Frontend Engineer to build the product experiences that candidates and hiring teams interact with every day.
The right person cares about quality, speed, responsiveness, and how things feel in the hands of real users. You'll work across both sides of the platform — the candidate interview experience and the employer-facing workflows where customers review and act on interview outputs.
The scale of the problem 5,000+ AI interviews/day · 26+ languages · 30+ ATS integrations · Fortune 100 customers with strict SLAs

What we're looking for
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals • Deep React experience • Strong product sense and attention to UX detail • Experience building polished, high-quality user-facing software • Good judgment on when to move fast and when to go deeper • Based in SF or ready to relocate — fully in-person
Nice to have: • Experience with Node, Next.js, or adjacent full stack work • Interest in performance and frontend architecture • Startup experience • Familiarity with complex workflow or data-rich product surfaces
You'll work on software that users interact with directly, in moments that actually matter, inside a small team where your work will be highly visible.
What you'll get • Meaningful ownership from early on • Close collaboration with the founders • $160k–$220k + equity, health insurance, unlimited PTO, and company events
