Job Description

We are looking for a Telemedicine Program Manager to lead and oversee the implementation of statewide or enterprise-level telehealth and teleconsultation initiatives as part of the Rural Health Transformation Program. This position will be Full-Time and Hybrid in Indianapolis, Indiana.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of telehealth and teleconsultation programs and initiatives

  • Monitor program plans, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery of program goals

  • Coordinate with internal teams (IT, legal, finance, RHTP initiative leads) and external partners (vendors, providers, regional coalitions, stakeholders)

  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract oversight, deliverable tracking, and performance management

  • Oversee program governance, reporting, and documentation, ensuring alignment with organizational, state, and federal requirements

  • Monitor program performance using data and stakeholder feedback; lead continuous improvement efforts

  • Support the development of sustainability strategies, including funding models and operational integration

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management activities related to telehealth and teleconsultation initiatives

  • Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for leadership, partners, and oversight bodies as needed

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, privacy, security, and quality standards related to telehealth and teleconsultation

  • Support other related Rural Health Transformation activities, as requested

What You'll Need
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in public health, health administration, informatics, information systems, or a related field

  • 4+ years program management, healthcare operations, public health, health IT or related field

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs or projects

  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership and external stakeholders

  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships

  • Proficiency with common productivity and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft O365, project management platforms, collaboration tools)

  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and fluid demands

  • Ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external customers

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with telemedicine, telehealth, healthcare delivery systems, or digital health initiatives

  • Master’s degree in public health, health administration, informatics, information systems, or a related field

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

  • Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

$50 - $54 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
