About
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
*JOB SUMMARY:*
To ensure that product processed from the lasers meet the specifications of the customer and are prepared as needed for additional processes.
*I. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND BASIC SKILL LEVELS: *
· High School education or equivalent.
* 2-3 years experience running a laser in a production environment a plus.
· Strong industrial math skills and attention to details.
· Ability to learn tasks, and follow directions, including use of measurement equipment.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
* Regular and predictable attendance required.
· Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
· Successful completion of Pre-Employment physical.
*II. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
· Operate and adjust stand-alone laser as needed to cut single or multiple pieces from sheet.
· Remove cut product from sheet steel and sort for processing or finished goods inventory.
· Review shop orders, blueprints, and inspection records to determine process requirements.
· Examine and measure product to verify conformance to specifications using measurement equipment as specified on inspection records.
· Comply with policies, processes and systems of the ISO quality management system.
· Support the commitment to a safe work environment as stated in the safety vision and the safety manual.
*Qualifications*
* Must have excellent problem solving skills.
* Ability to use height stand, caliper, micrometer, protractor, radius gauge, etc.
* Must have a solid working knowledge of blueprint reading and shop math.
* Possess a drive for achieving production, while focusing on safety and quality.
* Capable of working in a team environment.
* Ability to lift up to 50-pounds.
* Must be reliable, and have good attendance.
