*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical imaging and demonstrate proficiency in various radiologic techniques. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in settings such as urgent care, emergency rooms, and trauma centers. The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort while delivering accurate imaging results.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, PET scans, DEXA scans, and mammography.
* Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
* Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs.
* Ensure the proper functioning of imaging equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures performed.
* Provide patient education regarding the imaging process and address any concerns or questions.
* Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure patient and staff safety during imaging procedures.
* Assist in emergency medicine situations by providing rapid diagnostic evaluations as needed.
*Experience*
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
* Proficiency in nuclear medicine, sonography, diagnostic radiology, and emergency room experience is preferred.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
* Familiarity with Level I and Level II trauma center operations is advantageous.
* Experience with advanced imaging modalities including CT, PET scans, mammography, and DEXA scans is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $52.00 per hour
